About This Project

Large parking garages can be difficult to navigate—in a car or on foot. The largest parking facility at Vanderbilt Medical Center, the South Garage offers parking for patients and visitors of The Vanderbilt Clinic and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. Colors were used to designate levels and a painting plan was prepared for matching the signage to the primary elevator cores on each level. Painted PVC with directional information was hung from the garage ceilings helping visitors to find the right elevator or stair from their parked car.
